Subjected to fierce seasonal winds and torrential rains, trees cannot take root here, giving rise to rare pygmy grasses and carnivorous plants like Drosera (sundew) and Utricularia.
A scenic footpath winds across the plateau to Mini World's End, where the plateau cuts away into a heart-stopping 1,000-foot vertical precipice offering unbroken vistas across the deep Thelgamu Oya valley and the distant misty knuckles peaks.
