1. General information

The content of this website is published for general information about travel in Sri Lanka and about the services we arrange. We prepare it with care and keep it under review, but we do not warrant that everything on it is complete, current or free from error at every moment.

Nothing on this website is:

• an offer capable of acceptance, unless we have issued a written quotation to you;
• legal, immigration, medical, financial or insurance advice; or
• a substitute for official government travel advice, or for advice from a qualified professional.

2. Itineraries, timings and routes

• Sample itineraries show what a trip can look like. They are illustrative and are tailored before booking.
• Journey times, distances and daily schedules are estimates based on normal conditions.
• Actual timings are affected by traffic, weather, road works, road closures, religious processions, national events and the pace of your own party.
• Routes may be changed by your guide or driver for safety or practical reasons.

3. Availability and prices

• Accommodation, guides, vehicles, permits and activities are subject to availability at the time of booking.
• Prices shown or discussed before a written quotation are indicative and are not held.
• Prices depend on season, party size, room category, vehicle type and the date of travel.
• Currency amounts converted for convenience are approximate. The contract currency is the one stated in your quotation.

4. Photographs, images and video

• Photographs on this website show Sri Lanka, the sites we visit and the styles of accommodation and experience we arrange.
• They are not necessarily photographs of the specific room, vehicle, guide or departure you will receive.
• Images may be from different seasons. Landscapes look markedly different between the dry and wet seasons.
• Wildlife images show what is possible, not what is promised. Sightings cannot be guaranteed.
• Where an image is licensed from a third party or supplied by a hotel or supplier, rights remain with the owner.

5. Descriptions of accommodation, transport and activities

• Descriptions are based on information from suppliers, our own visits and traveller feedback, and are believed correct when published.
• Hotel star ratings reflect local classification and are not directly comparable with European ratings.
• Facilities can close temporarily for maintenance, refurbishment, weather, private events or low season occupancy, sometimes at short notice.
• Suppliers can change ownership, management, menus, facilities and standards without telling us in advance.

Where we become aware of a material change before your departure, we will tell you and apply section 8 of our Booking Terms.

6. Third-party information and links

• This website may link to or embed content from third parties, including maps, videos, social media and supplier websites.
• We do not control that content and we are not responsible for it, for its accuracy, or for the privacy practices of the sites it sits on.
• A link is not an endorsement.
• Information about entry requirements, health requirements, weather, park opening and public holidays comes from third parties and can change without notice. Always verify it with the official source.

7. Wildlife, weather and natural conditions

• Wildlife is wild. The presence, behaviour and visibility of animals cannot be predicted or guaranteed.
• Weather forecasts are indicative. Sri Lanka's two monsoons mean conditions vary sharply by coast and by month.
• Sea conditions, water clarity, river levels and mist at viewpoints change daily and affect what is possible on the day.
• National parks, trails and sites may close at the direction of the authorities.

8. Local infrastructure and conditions

Roads, footpaths, public transport, signage, lighting, accessibility provision and emergency services in Sri Lanka differ from those in Europe. We describe conditions honestly, but we do not control them and we are not responsible for the state of public infrastructure.

9. Reviews, testimonials and traveller content

• Reviews and testimonials reflect the experience of individual travellers on a particular trip.
• They are not a promise of a similar outcome for you.
• We publish traveller content with permission and do not alter its substance.

10. Website availability and errors

• We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
• Content may be changed, corrected or removed at any time without notice.
• Where an obvious error affects a price or a material term before your booking is confirmed, section 5 of our Booking Terms applies.

11. What this disclaimer does not do

This disclaimer limits the basis on which information is provided. It does not:

• exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
• exclude or limit our liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
• exclude our responsibility for the travel services we agree to arrange, which is dealt with in the Booking Terms; or
• affect any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law that applies to you.
