1. The short version

Most travel websites open with a consent banner because they load analytics and advertising tools the moment you arrive. This one does not load any, so there is nothing to ask you to consent to.

• We do not set any cookie of our own on this website.
• We do not use Google Analytics or any other website analytics tool.
• We do not use Google Tag Manager or any tag management tool.
• We do not use advertising or remarketing pixels, including from Meta, Google, TikTok or LinkedIn.
• We do not use session recording, heatmaps or visitor identification tools.
• We do not sell or share browsing data with anyone.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage and software development kits, and this policy covers all of them.

Cookies may be first-party, set by the website you are visiting, or third-party, set by another organisation whose content appears on the page. They may last only until you close your browser, or persist until they expire or you delete them.

3. The one third-party element on this site

Some pages include a video hosted on YouTube. It is set up deliberately to keep it out of your way until you want it.

• The video appears as a still image with a play button. Nothing is loaded from YouTube while it sits there.
• YouTube's player is only loaded when you press play. That is your choice, and it is what gives YouTube permission to act.
• The embed uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, youtube-nocookie.com, which limits what is stored compared with a standard embed.
• Once you press play, Google may store information on your device and may collect data about your viewing, under Google's own privacy policy rather than ours. If you would rather it did not, do not press play.

If you have a Google account and are signed in, Google may associate the view with your account. That is a matter between you and Google.

4. Technologies used on this website

There is nothing else. There is no analytics row, no advertising row and no consent tool row, because none of those things exist on this site.

5. Why there is no consent banner

Under the ePrivacy rules that apply in the European Union and the United Kingdom, consent is needed before storing or accessing information on your device for anything that is not strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for.

This website stores nothing on your device on arrival. The only technology that can store anything is the video player, and it is loaded by your own deliberate action rather than by us. Pressing play is the consent, and nothing is loaded if you do not.

We would rather build the site this way than add a banner and then ask you to click through it.

6. Technical measures that protect your visit

These are not cookies, but they are part of the same picture and you are entitled to know about them.

• A strict Content Security Policy prevents third-party scripts from loading on this site at all, other than the YouTube player described above. Even if a tracking script were added by mistake, the browser would refuse to run it.
• The site is served only over HTTPS, and browsers are instructed to refuse an unencrypted connection.
• A Permissions Policy switches off camera, microphone and location access for this site, and opts the site out of interest-based advertising cohorts.
• The site cannot be embedded in a frame on another website, which prevents a common form of click hijacking.

7. Server logs

Our website host records technical information needed to deliver the site and protect it from attack, including IP addresses, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is a normal part of running any website, it is not used to build a profile of you, and it is covered in our Privacy Policy under legitimate interests.

8. Managing cookies in your browser

Your browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data for any website, including this one. The help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge explain how. Because this site sets nothing of its own, blocking cookies here will not affect how it works, though it may stop an embedded video from playing.

9. Changes to this policy

If we add analytics, advertising or any other non-essential technology to this website, we will update this page before we do so, and we will put a consent banner in place that blocks those technologies until you accept them. Rejecting will be as easy as accepting.
